Brindisi hosts its third gastronomic food and wine festival ‘Sapori del Mediterraneo’, A taste of the Mediterranean 2nd – 5th July 2015, Viale Regina Margherita (Lungomare)

Back by popular demand, this four day event is devoted to great Puglian food and wine. During the festival, you can enjoy a large selection of local delicacies that make this a unique and world famous event ‘Sapori del Mediterraneo’.

The cultural association Brindisi ‘Puglia Insieme Si Può‘, Puglia Together We Can, has always been dedicated to enhance our region, culture and traditions and has for three consecutive years continued with the ‘Sapori del Mediterraneo’, bringing the spotlight to Brindisi as a great tourist destination.

Viale Regina Margherita, is a beautiful location, overlooking the port of Brindisi, which makes this double bill even more exciting and the perfect spot for the ‘World F2 Powerboat Championship, In shore,’. Don’t miss it!

There will be around 34 riders, representing 15 countries from around the world, they will compete in the waters of the inner harbour below the Roman columns. As in the two previous editions, a spectacular parade will take place before the race begins. Each boat will proudly represent their country by parading along the harbour waving their flag. The 15 countries taking place include: Norway, Italy, Hungary, Sweden, Finland, France, Monaco, Spain , Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Great Britain, Austria and Portugal.

Preparations are currently underway to construction of the village on Via Regina Margherita with all the colours and flavours of the Mediterranean. The stands will depict everything that is quintessentially Puglian, which is rich in tradition and culinary excellence. Pugliese people are proud of their land and they give thanks to the fertile soil which provides them with excellant fresh produce that is at the very heart of their cuisine and daily life, respecting the seasons and traditions.

During the festival there will be lots of Pugliese food and wine to sample, as well as live music and street performers, so there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
